Bankruptcy and Debtor Representation

If you are having problems with bill collectors, we will try to get a good understanding of your overall financial situation and educate you as to the different options and how they each work; and then devise a plan on how to approach your financial problems. You will leave the meeting with Attorney Ferrario with a clearer plan of attack and a better understanding of what creditors can and cannot do.
Approaches may include filing a chapter 7 or chapter 13 bankruptcy - or not filing any type of bankruptcy. Alternatives may include prioritizing creditors, or paying or not paying creditors. Sometimes deals have to be made with creditors.

The first meeting is free and usually takes between sixty (60) and ninety (90) minutes.

Mortgage Foreclosure

Once you get three months behind on your home mortgage payments, the mortgage company will usually send you a formal notice of its intention to file in the courts for mortgage foreclosure against your home. Once you are served with the complaint in mortgage foreclosure, we must react quickly.

Attorney Ferrario's approach is to first fully understand the facts of your particular situation. He can then educate you as to the process of foreclosures, show you the range of different solutions, and work with you on devising the appropriate strategies. The financial crisis has also led to a better environment toward working out loan modifications for better terms with the mortgage company.
We will work with you to devise practical solutions to your reaching appropriate goals.

Automobile Accidents / Personal Injury

If you have the misfortune of being involved in an automobile accident, you can contact us for help on resolving issues. The insurance company for the other party fully understands the process and seeks to close its file at the cheapest cost possible. You do not have to go alone through the process of trying to persuade an experienced insurance adjuster to pay for your losses from the accident. We will work with you to get the fairness which you deserve.

The first appointment is free. Try to gather all the information you can so we can preserve the necessary evidence when you need to prove your claims. We usually represent our clients on a contingency or percentage basis, which means that, while we pay for costs and time for making and proving your claims, you do not pay lawyer's fees unless we collect money for you. We will work hard for you to convince the insurance company and/or the court to pay you for your losses from this accident.

Helpful documents to bring with you to the meeting: Auto Insurance Card, Auto Insurance Policy, Auto Insurance Declaration Sheet, Police Accident Report or Notice, photographs of the damages and/or accident scene, vehicle towing records, any bills related to the accident, medical bills and medical records, loss of work dates, recent paystubs, any estimates pertaining to car damage, contact information for your insurance company and the opposing insurance adjuster.

Workers' Compensation / Social Security Disability

Bring any medical bills and doctor reports you are able to compile for your claim. We will try to simplify the process for you so you understand what needs to be done so you are awarded the compensation you deserve.

We are very approachable, and you will feel confident that your claim will be presented in an as full, complete, and positive manner possible. Our strategy is to assemble the evidence necessary to show the insurance company or the judge why you are entitled by law for the money and benefits which you seek. We then try to present this evidence so you are treated fairly by the justice system.

Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Alimony, and Related Economic Issues

Divorce can be one of the worst experiences that a person will encounter in their lifetime. We will try to keep the experience as civil as possible. We will approach issues by trying to solve problems in a practical way and try to keep extreme emotions from governing actions and making matters worse. If we cannot civilly work out solutions to disputes, we will competently litigate the unresolved issues to solution.

With a civil approach, we try to set and maintain, and attempt to solve issues quicker, cheaper, and with less emotional and financial cost and stress. We try to reach overall agreements on all issues.

We charge you for our work and time on your behalf, on a reasonable hourly basis. For our first meeting, try to bring the financial information shown in this website pertaining to your income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Bring any other relevant paperwork.
